well, as far as i read the documents are just classified. The documents arent shredded. this isnt some cloak and dagger document conspiracy.

the money was then sent to aid efforts in honduras.

-------------------But of course, it was used for weapons aid, interrogation aid, torture aid... But what do you care about people being slaughtered by a fascist goverment supported by the Pentagon, the White House, big corporations... And btw, the Irangate not only involved weapons, but also drugs, those drugs that Reagan's admin was supposed to fight hard... Both that war on drugs and the current war on terrorism are a bag of horseshit for the weak-minded.

look. i certainly dont want to quibble about the regan administration. I am talking about current times. We can use examples of past events, but lets apply them to current topics.
i do have disagreement with you regarding your saying " Both that war on drugs and the current war on terrorism are a bag of horseshit for the weak-minded." now, that is some horseshit. the war on terror is a very real deal man. it is a problem we need to deal with. I suppose that wont ring true to you until it effects you directly, but for me, it doesnt take that much to convince me that we have a true determined enemy out there.

I live in Madrid ;) And as far as I'm concerned, Bush is a terrorist, same as the people who put those bombs in Madrid's trains... JUST THE SAME.
- mrdobolina0
yes, al qaeda, not iraq.
- mrdobolina0
also, I am applying past events to current ones, John Negroponte.
- virtu0
so bush is a terrorist eh? give examples. some solid examples too, no propaghanda. and by the way, my prayers are out for the people of spain.
there have been al qaeda ties to iraq, so there goes that argument. and also, i totally hear the negroponte argument though. I just dont want to get the argument onto regan.
- mrdobolina0
send me articles about ties to 9/11, that is when the 'war on terror' started. Bush even said "there is no link between iraq and 9/11".
The Bush Administration had a hard-on for Iraq before 9/11.
I dont understand why they dont just play all of their cards and say "The reason why we had to topple Saddam was because if we didnt he would have started trading oil in euros with france germany and russia. And if we didnt ,energy traders all over the world would have finally cashed their chips in on dollars and the US would have had to face up to the $26 trillion national debt, destroying the US economy"
That is what it is all about.
- mrdobolina0
No hype and no liberal viewpoints on that one, virtu.
- virtu0
true true. I know that bush said there are no ties with alqueda and iraq and all that. But they recently have captured an al quaed operative that was trained in iraq. They caught him in jordan i believe. either way, i believe the administration had perfectly good reasons for going into iraq, whether they say them or not (as you so eloquently illustrated). how did we get on this particular subject again?
- mrdobolina0
they definitely had good reason, rich white man in america aint shit if the dollar is worth pesos.
- mrdobolina0
Im not mad at you Virtu, just want to keep that straight.
I love these debates, but I wish the news would talk about that oil/euro topic.
If you told American citizens that shit they would buy all the canned goods in the country and start digging bunkers.

i truly enjoy our little debates as well. Unfortunatly, i am going to go home now. and once i get home, i am not about to spend my friday night debating politics on NT, im sure you understand.
