What the hell is it?
I think I know what It is, but I need to verify it before I say anything. I't obviously an offshoot of punk but I need some samples of EMO bands that I may have heard on radio.

I didn't say it was good emo. If you're needing a remotely appropriate example that is mainstream and could be heard on the radio, and you don't know what another person's music taste is, it's a fairly safe bet. I'm just saying.

I made out with an emo chick once at a party was drunk and somehow I ended up listening to her bitch about her problems and she thought i really cared
anyway emo is emotional rock for kids that feel that the world is againts them and they feel like they have hardcore emotional problems and the only way they can get away from it is by listening to crappy music

there's good emo and bad emo. that was a decent attempt at explaining emo, but there are many exceptions. many people that are into emo are also into a million other things. but then theres also those strictly emo lifestyle type people (fashion, friends, etc.).

the thing is, I thought I knew what was considered Emo, but I wasn't sure so, like I said, I wanted to verify it.
Now that I know....I can now say with a clear concious that I cant stand that stuff. It I want to cheese, I'll listen to big-hair bands like Winger and Trixter.
