Your getting mixed up. Religion is a political force in many of these countries, but is not a founding principle of these states. Saudi Arabia is in an ongoing tribal struggle between the Wahab's of the North and these weird tribes in the south east (Bin Laden's peeps). Yeah Iran is a theocracy. But again, its a political thing. Cos like the people are Persians and thats more what its about - an arena for the Persians. As for Pakistan an India. Definitly not a Hindu Muslim rivaly. Fuckin Muslim India was the biggest reasons they beat the Pakis in the cricket couple of days ago. All i'm saying is that religion is not the reason these states exist. Relgion is a way these states express themselves - just like free market capitalism is another way. The country is a BASED on politics. And thats it.

Saudi does have struggles but the Holy Book is their constitution. Can't be refuted.
what about the Bosnian conflict? Are you telling me its about land and politicas and not religion?

oh boy

Look i'm not saying that religion doesnt cause wars. Cos it definitly does/ But that guy supaniggaz acting like all the wars are caused by religion. Like u get rid of religion u get rid of conflict not true. The Bosnian conflict is a very ancient struggle. Its about religion, yes. But its also about the Serbs being bitter that their Empire, (1600s) was invaded, destroyes, and conquered by the Turks. Also northern ireland - protestants killing catholics - actually about some people wanna be irish, other british. Point is, religion is in there as a major force of conflict, but it is not the reason why countries exist, or the cause of all human conflict. What about when Bangladesh parted from Pakistan? Werethe Bengali's creating a state based on religion or creating a state that fully expressed the rights of the Bengali people? Bosnian conflict is more about nationalism than absolutely anything else. U can't mix racialism with religion either. Like sayin Nazis killing Jews was about religion. No. About the preservation of the German blood in their territories against all races that tainted the master RACE. (yes also about religion).

Vaginal discharge
- Soler0
Damn, I was saying we agree. Like I said a few notes back, religion is not the basis of the state, but it is a big part of why people want their own states.
i mosdefinately dont go so far as SUPPANIGGA and think religion is evil
- Soler0
i thought that was a good conversation but now your talkin bout vag. discharge.
lates. i'm out
- Mr_Jump0
Oh chill man. That was joke. I always get all into this politics shit. I just think that when people start going on about all the problems of the world are caused by religion and stuff, they're totally missing the major causes of conflict. Poverty, nationalism, megalomania... people who think their country has a "manifest destiny". But then that's the socialist in me talkin. ;)

I personally prefer leaving it in there.
But the thing I'm more worried about is that this might be the begining of a long string of new 'rules' similar to the ones enacted in France, effectively banning outright symbols of religion in public places which i completely and absolutely disagree with.
Regardless, in the next 20 years China and Africa will overtake us in number and percentage of Christian poopulation and we'll no longer be the 'Nation under God' anyway
They'll start sending missionaries over here.
