im redesigning my site (finally).. and of course i'll be updating my portfolio because its been nearly a year and a half and a lot has been done. but besides that, what do you like to see on personal sites that keep you enguaged for a while... what makes you bookmark it?

Something that shows the connection between the artwork and the person. Even if it's just text, a paragraph or two or whatever, I like when you can make a connection between an image and who the person is.
I like when people show why they did something.
I like good photography on a site, but not the type that you see EVERYWHERE.
Someone posted a site in the PBS recently with some incredible pictures of flowers. not sure if I bookmarked it, but they were so unlike most pictures you see.I also like a good fight picture. A bloodied nose, or a blurred image of two people fighting to the death. THOSE you don't see everyday.

Seen any sites with backgrounds that look like wallpaper, serif script fonts everywhere, wood looking backgrounds and textures?EVERYWHERE.

conceptual explorations so basic you'll need guts for it..
just dare to explore color and form.
