fucking cool.
and I think the headers/footers are kinda orginal?
- quik0
hey and also, the text thing with the black lines and how you can select the text to read it.. css... but HOW?
can't be bothered trawling through the source while I'm supposed to be working... at work.. mm yeah.
back to work.

Beautiful textures, beautiful type in select areas that arent HTML. I could do without some of the whimsical yellow highlights in CSS.
Simple, clean, focuses on the work.....but i miss rollercoasters and the color brown. WDDG, bring back the craziness we know and love.

I think its lovely.
Bit anoying that its so slow, dont know how come?(inferno-games.com was way nice though!) :)

I'm not too bothered about the style.
But I love the fact you have to uncover some of the text to see it. I think that's a really inventive idea. It's little bit of clever thinking that makes me reconsider how a website can be interactive, a bit like the 100th window site making use of the code window. It shows how au faire the audience has become with not just the surface technology but also how it's used and made.Flippin' ace,

i don't think highlighting the text is that inventive. It's just like reading spoilers on a movie site. i think it's a pretty horrible tired looking site. Looks just like screens for some crappy ww2 game. nowt special for me.
- Blofeldt0
what's a spoiler on a movie site? I've not seen hidden text that you have to highlight to read as an intended interactive device before.
- clique0
it's used on theforce.net alot. the spoiler text (plot details etc) is in white on a white page and you then highlight it if you want to read it.

wow, people need to relax...
smile, be happy, go outside...
it is just web design

what are they now, communists??
they crack me up

I think they got a little bogged down into making it standards compliant...
If the various government sites in the UK are failing left right and centre at making sites compatible... why bother with a visual site like this one?
- fountainhead0
hmmm... ww2 branding. maybe they will drop leaflets out of a plane over NYC... no, that would be tasteless.
- CyBrainX0
It's a fine site. I think people are just spoiled by what was there before. I'm going to miss their old site a lot. That was some seriously great work. I don't know why they went this direction. It's not like their clients were corporate.

At one point or another everyone's 15 minutes of fame are up. 5.4.3.2.1.........

i'm all for a taste of nostalgia in one's work, but that influene should only guide you so much on a project before you push it in a new direction, or put a new spin on the approach. if you don't, you just end up with something that looks outdated, boring, and out of place.
there's a fine line between vintage and the real thing.

webstandards and trendy css menus? it's gotta be a joke site.
- JazX0
it looks to be a lot of scanning and flash work obviously. :)

baker + web standards = end of the fucking world
- kpl0
i only wish standards compliance was trendy.
