Just finished my company site.
Have a look and tell me what you think :)Much Appreciated
(btw: i did not design and was forced to put that tacky flash animation as an intro)
- rabattski&rabattski0
well that tacky animation intro really really kills it. very unprofessional.
from a gui point of view it is really confusing as in the navigation seems to be everywhere and it is very unclear what the options are for the visitor. is there more content than the actual 2 about pages?
- jevad0
in contrast to rabattski I think it's pretty sweet...
- dstlb0
It just goes to the holding page and says I need Explorer and Flash MX to view the site.
I have Flash 7 plugin installed.
Telling me I need Explorer is pretty lame, ever heard of web standards? What's so special about the site that I can't view it in Safari?
- jevad0
yeah listen to andy...that's not right.....
- jox0
looks good - like the colors, but I would sort of want the site to go all the way down to the bottom and not just fade out. Just my personal opinion.
but yeah, that animation is yucky-poo.

In my defence
rabattski&rabattski: unfortunately their are a lot of poltics in the company and i did not have any input in the site structure or the amount of copy on the site. I am just a prettifier whore. I just make things look pretty
dstlb: i am currently developing the site to work in all browsers. current redirection because of the mad dhtml menu i used. Company insisted site had to be live yesterday.

oh and f$%k your web standards. IE rules bitch
- dstlb0
Fair enough, good luck. I'll check it out in Explorer in a bit.
- drzoom0
the animation really is bad ... but as you said that is not your fault
I like it otherwise, apart from that it also doesn't run on Mozilla
- rabattski&rabattski0
except for the animation it's pretty. so you're job is done then? still, that navigation system needs an overhaul. for such a site you need to know where the navigation is right away, and not that people have to search for it. especially in that line of business.

"oh and f$%k your web standards. IE rules bitch "
thats a joke right?
- dstlb0
I'm laughing, at him, not with him.

ummmmmm... rabattski&rabattski what do you mean you can't immediately find the navigation. it is the got a title tab with 'navigation' wriiten on it and an arrow......
i am not gettin much love for this site...... i quite liked it :'(
- david140
;-( safari denied ...
- dstlb0
Where's the nav? Have you checked this on a Mac cos there's no 'navigation' tab appearing when I check it in Explorer.
Lemme guess... "oh and f$%k your Apple Mac. Windows rules bitch"
- rabattski&rabattski0
because it's scattered. the clickable items are top right, a little lower left, bottom left, a little higher bottom right and in the txt.
home brings me back to the intro, which in my opinion isn't home.
the red block with the names takes me back to the intro as well.the "home" in the txt buttons suggest that there are more options than just home.
it's just very unclear.
