an "important" client want to send an email newsletter every month.
and yes, they want to add / delete the content themself.
so...
- stewart0
so this is going to work for sure:
- enobrev0
in that case, if you're giving them a cms of sorts (and if they have ie / pc), i reccommend using something like htmlarea:
http://www.interactivetools.com/…
which is a WYSIWYG textarea for ie on the pc and saves in html 3.2. Used this for 3 clients for mailing list apps / cms and it's worked out great for them.
- stewart0
that WYSIWYG editor doesn't work on my mac.
i see html code in the textarea.
- enobrev0
yep.. .really just for ie pc. sorry man.

not sure about the css. you have to test that. anyways, if you change all the href's to absolute href's you should be fine.
- stewart0
oh, and what about animated gifs?
- jevad0
animated gifs are fine - just don;t go too o.t.t!!
: )
- stewart0
what is o.t.t. ?
oh, i think i got it
Over The Top ?
- rabattski&rabattski0
did you know that if you renamed an animated gif to
- stewart0
yes, i know that paul.
- rabattski&rabattski0
oops. there went something wrong. that something is me. oh. yes. over the top. and did you know that oakly has sunglasses called over the top. and that they are sooooo ugly. no it is so ugly that it doesn't fit in the ugly category anymore. i actually saw one guy wearing them. and he was really proud because he kept on parading up and down the street. you know, like acting cool and hip and stuff. boy, did he look like a retard.
- stewart0
no, please finish your line paul...
- stewart0
yes, those aliensunglasses.
but what was that with the gif renamed ... ?
- rabattski&rabattski0
http://www.online-store-outlet.c…
and the sentence i was about to finish: if you rename an animated gif to (yourname).jpg it is still intepreted as an animated gif by your browser. this info is actually useless. unless e.g. you have to upload a jpg but you want an animated gif.
- stewart0
like this?
- rabattski&rabattski0
oh. i guess you already knew :) i'm soooooooooo like dumb. hitting my head against the screen.
- stewart0
haha.
if you have more tips for me,
like:on mac, open illustrator, hold your apple key and open the "about illustrator" menu.
maybe we have to start a new topic about those tips & tricks ?
or keepin' it secret and email it.
