I'm looking for some helpful insight on this...
How would you define the word CONCEPT from the art / graphic design perspective? How does it fit into the INITIAL CONCEPT vs. TALENT vs. ATTENTION TO DETAIL vs. EXCECUTION relationship in the game we play?

Concept is a short statement that becomes the driving force behind what you do.
What that meansÑconcept is what it is you're doing and what it does.
For example "a website that communicates the XXX product and brand and allows users to customise, compare and order according to their needs, preferences and online skills"
By phrasing this statement the client knows what to expect and team members have a common understanding what it is they are developing.
This way you also test ideas and see if they fit the concept and should be persued (sometimes people have great ideas, tat just don't serve the concept).
It also allows you to design towards a goal, and test your designÑdoes it serve the concept?

Rem Koolhas uses the 'Fuck Details' approach to hide the fact that he doesn't take his concept all the way. Not that I dislike his work [his Bordeaux house's a masterpiece]. It's just some of the post/neo modernism way of thinking/excuses that I think is pure shite.
