Concept is a short statement that becomes the driving force behind what you do.
What that meansÑconcept is what it is you're doing and what it does.
For example "a website that communicates the XXX product and brand and allows users to customise, compare and order according to their needs, preferences and online skills"
By phrasing this statement the client knows what to expect and team members have a common understanding what it is they are developing.
This way you also test ideas and see if they fit the concept and should be persued (sometimes people have great ideas, tat just don't serve the concept).
It also allows you to design towards a goal, and test your designÑdoes it serve the concept?
