I think you'll have to consult the oracle for this one.

it could be programmed where different object use different frame speeds anyway. ;)

why do i keep hearing 31 fps from people?
Anyways, their sites are better than mine, so that' what i work at.

because 31fps plays at 31 on pc and 30 on macs... in theory

First, you have to change the way you look at Frames Per Second.

Always put a 1 at the end 31, 41. 51, etc. It matches cross platform performance better.
I'm not sure why you're using 2 Advanced as an example. They're work is kind of choppy on a Mac, but let's not start one of "those threads", please.

I found this quote that should help you:
"Personally, I look around at the world and I am in awe of technology, nature, progress, math, science, physics, everything...At times, it compounds together into one large stream of elements always entering my consciousness at the speed of light, and all you can do is reach out and grab a concept here and there and decide to tell a story about it, or at least how you perceive it. And I do all that at 31 FPS, the future."

anything above 60fps flash just tries to play as fast as possible.
Benefits to higher framerates are silk-smooth transitions and animation movements.
BUT
if you get too many 'heavy' objects (filesize or object size-wise) on the screen - its gonna start to slow down on slower machines.basically - if you are doning light- super-slick animation, I would use 50-60fps
but if you need something with a lot of bitmaps or giant circles changing color or moving around - i'd lower it to 31
one warning - dont switch framerates in the middle of development.
a 6 frame tween that looks fine at 31 fps looks like a billionth of a second at 60fps
But I wouldn't just try to emulate 2Advanced.
There are tons and tons of other amazing designers/companies out there that do better motion work.

You dont want to do that shit like they do. Thats horseshit!

back on task, do it @ 45 fps, so you can slow it down to 30 if you need to for broadcast - smooth SLOW motion...
