yea i pretty much agree with you enobrev (dope that your a bboy) excpet about the radio thing and i think its because over here (australia) the only shit we get to see on tv is 50cent and eminem and its fuckin bullshit. i hate that crap mainly because of the negativity that it brings to world and the fact that its broadcast everywhere, sending out this ridiculous message of sex drugs and violence.
i respect people who are talented but you have to admit that 50cent doesnt have a talented or intellectual bone in his body and doesnt create anything that contributes to society in any positive way at all.
i dont beleive in a negative 'my' hip hop attitude, if your cool come on in, just bring something to the table that is worth while and help the culture grow.
peace

i admit i have pretty narrow views on alot of things (my girl will atest to that) but its mainly because i cant except mediocrity anymore, im sick of people coasting along and riding on other peoples talents, whether it be design, hip hop or whatever, i believe that if your contributing then you should get the recognition. now i know this sounds naive but its not to much to hope for you know, a positive culture surrounded by elements in which one can express themselves.
and yea i dance to other stuff, and i write on alot more than walls (like trains hehe and i sell my artworks, which arent very aersol arty any more) so yes i do branch out to alot of things (in a new hardcore band called 'fight your friends') besides hip hop but in each and every aspect of my life i try and push the limits and i want the people around me to do the same.

yea..used to live in ausland..and a good aussie mate still there recently told me that the radio top10 has only got either rnb or hiphop..pure commercial violence n sex selling tunes...and added that he's sick of that monopoly and music industry trend.
i mean..what happened to all those wicked local aussie bands like silverchair, the vines, natalie imbruglia (she's gone pop as well..sadly said), the regurgitators, etc etc..
it's time for hiphop to heal..well what's left of it..

the music used to get a chance to devellop underground. It takes time.
Now, when producers/recordcompany's smell money, they drag it out of the undergroundscene before it gets a change to fully devellop.of course there will allways be good hiphop (artists) won't go for the green but for the music.

Speaking of the good ol' days. Anyone here that got some Schoolly D mp3s to share? Looking for "Education of a black man" and a tune that i think is called "Sign", can't quite remember.

on Nickel and Dime Radio with $mall ¢hange
Lengendary old school hip hop pioneers drop by Nickel and Dime Radio to drop some knowledge and some platters. Known best for providing the music for old school classic 'Beat Bop' by Rammallzee (and featuring Basquiat), their entire catalog has been reissued recently by Troubleman Unlimited. Come reminisce or get edumicated, either way you'll be hearing some schlitz.
