thanks for sharing boz. you made my day.

listen to you lot... 'but why, but why'... why not? It's only customisation... and it's what Mac owners keep raving about...
this jsut shows they need to understand that's it's just software... Mac owners tend to think that they're the only ones with 'creative' machines... bullshit basically!...
I personally think they're both at the same level...
although Mac boxes look nicer (even if they are hidden under your desk anyway)

"People often ask whether graffiti is art," he said. "Well, it must be; now it's hanging in the fucking Tate."

oops wrong thread!

..so basically, we could all get Apple monitors, hide the PC box under the table, download all kinds of customize-tools for XP and we have saved ourselves thousands for the same machine. PLUS, we can use PC software on OUR macs.

i reckon... apple will be know for music rather than primarily computing...

why we are doing this?
for fun.... the same reason you change your Mac Desktop Picture but only at a greater level.
for fun
now just go away and let us have some fun... i think you people are the ones who got me in trouble during chemistry class back i the day...

:) are there any ways to get ANIMATED icons?

I have to tell you that I think that my XP runs smoother with this theme then the original one, seriously.
Thanks Burty for a tip that I can quit StyleXP and not keep it resident, never tried it before. It saves a bit memory as well :) The point is that StyleXP actually just changes some DLL file in Windows to accommodate new visual changes. This is great.
Btw, if anyone has or has a link to nice Panther like icons for the rest of the system, I would much appreciate it. I found a lot of cool ones on WinCustomize.com and DevianArt but they are not exactly going with the Brushed metal style. You know what I'm talking about, like icons for filetypes, system folders and so on...
Thanks.

OK for extra points... go setup Linux in Virtual PC to look like Windows, and run a Mac emulator in that with a Windows theme...

Check this... my iTunes now runs at 15 megs and not 24-30

Thanks for the links on how to set up my Windows to look like OSX. The only thing that interests me in a Mac is the look of it. The dock was a great idea and 128x128 icons are great too. Now I get the look of the Mac on a more stable machine. Right on.

I guess even XP thinks it's OSX when it looks like it :)

i gotta get this back to the front. i keep having to find this thread to tell people how to do the mac look on pc.
