German shephards are great around kids.
When ever I walk with my friend and her little girl, he walks along side her, and if anyone comes up to us he stands in front of her and checks the person out. amazing to watch, once a shephard reconises you are one of the pack he'll look out for ya.

Thats why I like German Shepherds. That is awesome. I would love a dog to watch over my family like that.
