PS, i like the top bit with the pictures, but like someone said earlier i missed the arrow the first time.

PPS, i reckon drop downs can be confusing. I can never remember what i've already looked at.

Nic, for a tight schedule it looks really nice.
Good luck in Denver.

"but i reckon the descriptive text and the images of the work don't look as if they belong together. "
how so? that's worried me a bit...
- Blofeldt0
because the images are higher than the text and there doesn't seem to be any connection. When i first saw it i wanted to click in the images box to read the full story, and didn't realise it was already there. I think it might be because your images box is rounded and your text area is very angular. Perhaps if you added the title of the project above the picture box it would make more sense.
But perhaps i'm just daft because no one else has picked up on it.

i can click the subjects of the pull down menu's (website + cd) - but nothing happens...
- jevad0
hey stewart - nothing is linked up et...it's jsut that page - template for look and feel...
blo - I see what you're saying now....I'll ahve a think about that - thanks : )
- stewart0
hey, now i see!
well, if the text on the right is describing the images on the left - it really is a strange layout...
that is because the position of the pull down menu's
maybe place them in the blue space on top of the page. now the images and text are too much seperated.

I agree with Blofeldt about the nav the the folio images.
Overall, though, it's very clean -- very nice.

good work man!and this thread got some decent, useful comments so that's a plus too!
- jevad0

Very nice - with a big V..
the only thing that i'm not sure about are the different shades of green on who+what+why..
i don't know why, really.. somehow unbalanced.. maybe just one gradient..and yeah.. i also didn't get that picloader on top the first time i looked at the site..
you'll get the job with that folio, man.. ;.)

hahaha!!
cheers tomkat ; )

Nice one Nic!
I didn't notice the arrow either which is a shame cos the photo section is a smooth touch.
I'm assuming your contact details etc going to be clickable from those green dropdowns?
- jevad0
yeah exactly - each of those green tabs takes you to a different section - so first one ot the personal/profile section - second the the one you saw - work - and third to contact.

Dude, sweet! Sweet, dude! Dude, sweet! etc. Looking great, just a few little issues you could look at if you have time...
I agree with Blofeldt about the image / description thing, the difference in heights makes them look like two seperate things.
When the 3 dropdowns are up the white gap looks odd, as if it's not aligned properly.
The first line of text in the 'Who' dropdown is all crunched for me, is it a pixel font or a system font?
It hasn't got an old-wallpaper style background, current trends require this, and a few more arrows wouldn't go amiss ;)
Good luck in Denver!

cheers andy...
I know what you mean about the drop downs - but I don't know what to do about it! bg image - different color bg?
And not both you and blo mentioned the image click rhough thing - i am starting to not feel it! argh! thanks a lot mate! ; )
- dstlb0
Nah, don't be put off, it's good, it just needs a little tweaking to get it perfect.
If you're pushed for time why not lose the 3 dropdowns for now and move the description up to fill the gap? That way at least you could have it all ready for the interview.

*agrees with dstlb.
