on the following layout and design for a new portfolio site that needs to be up tomorrow night:
Please forgive the coding...I will clean it up eventually.
Anything stand out as being totally wrong...or just shit? I was up till 5 am this morning doing it so I need fresh eyes.

personally i would 'zing' up the colours of the site to make it look fresher.. but just depends who / what type of place your aiming at i guess.

I like the clean and simple layout of the site and love the colors.
Not sure about the nav. The type seems weak.

cheers tony - didn't want to be faffing about with a bunch more flash movies so I kept it simple for the image swap things - little bit of jscript goes a long way ; )
Not in teh US yet - visiting for a week from next wednesday - which is why I need to get this beeyatch up - I have to email companies this wednesday in denver so I can hopefully get some interviews lined up for the few days I will be there!

how about a opening message, or something that describe the purpose of the site?
Because: when I first reached the toppage I got the kitchen-view and an explanation of Asells deal. I was just slightly confused wether that was your personal page or a client of yours (which I found out later)

I love the top animated part... shame it can't feed into the rest of the site a bit moe... be your primary navigation... just a thought... but I know time is of the essence!

yeah I had big things for that!! But like you say - time is of the essence...i think I'm just gonna throw it all up there and then build upon it at a later date...or something....

It's always good to just get it live and you can forget about it for a while... reap the benefits of it being live, rather than stuck on your hard drive, and then look at it again with fresh eyes a few months down the line :)

Nice site fella, simple & smart.
The one thing I would change though:
Slightly increase the leading where it reads "Aselle Contemporary Design and Furnishings" to me it just feels like the ascenders get lost on the baseline of the first line (the h in furnishings)

I like it, but i reckon the descriptive text and the images of the work don't look as if they belong together. Kind of disjointed. I also think you should have some continuity on your links. Like an arrow or an underline.
But i'm sure it will all come together.
