Wow.
Simply wow.Everything I could ever want, they've added.
Illustrator
they completely redesigned the type engine and added all sorts of
InDesign-level type supporthanging punctuation, auto ligatures, support for Opentype, line by line
spacing, auto-visual kerning, type column sets and custom tabsPhotoshop
It has Nested layers!!!!colored layers (in the palette)
comp layers (basically, you click comp1 and it shows all comp1 layers and
hides the rest - and it batch exports each Comp Layer)More support for dynamic content(?!!)
and a color replace tool (you just pick a color, and paint over an object, apparently)
Man, I can't wait to drop my $1000.

That does sound interesting.

It's the least they can do for the buggy versions of Illustrator & InDesign they've released over the last few years. I was getting tired of paying for upgrades which ran so poorly.
- dopepope0
oh mimio...you can still count on the bugs!

now tell me way adobe cs standard costs
999 $ in usa and
1479 euros in europeit's almost 400 $ different!!!!

i hope illustrator is faster now ... and works better with flash.
- JazX0

Oh my god!
The Bjork Eye!
They ripped off the Bjork eye from the start up window.I can't live without her...

i dont think the new features are worth the pricetag. but the thing with Adobe is that they know that everyone that uses their products will buy their new versions no matter what.

argh.. i never understood why all this US tech shit is sooo much more expensive here!
- de0
What if you had to pay the triple by some US tech shit??? That's it here in Brasil.
1 US dolar = 3 reais...
arrrgh... I'll go pirate.
** hey, I were banned once when talking about US shit...
ok, but I am not pink

sorry, I just checked and the software isnt out on the "file sharing" networks.
I for one would like to try the new illustrator as 10 is slow as fuck.

Where's LiveMotion!!???
Heheee

I'm disappointed.
I thought by now that they'd bundle in a couple of trained monkeys and a productive chimp.
It's all well and good making us applications that are easy to use, but what about something we can use to use the applications. Half my time is devoted to downloading mp3's and using my ipod.
Let's hope next version/suite...
*sigh*

I remember starting with v.3. Its so crazy how workflow has so dramatically changed in such a relatively short time. I can't wait to sink my teeth into this!

So is the PS upgrade included in this cs going to be the actual PS8? Will Ps8 be released alone?
- blend20
Does CS have 64-bit processor support?
Linux version would also be nice. I would gladly pay more for platform independance.
PS. The euro price is propably higher, because of localization costs. The english versions have always been bit cheaper than say german or finnish.

I'm interested in the 3d features in Illustrator. I hope it puts to rest my need for Vector Effects.
- quik0
As far as vector goes, freehand kills it.
Don't get me wrong, I actually use illustrator but freehand is:FAST as hell
works well with flash
has better & more features for type
perspective tools
variable stroke tool... I wish I learned freehand and not AI.
- monty0
"has better & more features for type
perspective tools
variable stroke tool"Dude, learn Illustrator.
- chach0
for real
