It's alright for beginner who first touch or to draw vector graphics... (in my opinion)... But I think Illustrator have more tool than Freehand... (Who think Macromedia is developing Freehand MX 2004... :P? or not... - Well I guess who use Illustrator often will not really care about this :P)

im in miami currently at ps world. the vp of adobe spoke and they demoed each product.
each is named wich cs on the end, adobe photoshop cs, etc. but they can be bought together as the "adobe creative sweat".
the file browser has been given a huge over hall.. very nice.
also, the 2.0 of the raw plug-in is built in (great for photographers)im still disappointed that we dont have filters as adjustment layers. :(
it now supports rectangle pixels (dvd creators shout hooray!) title safe included.. etc
ill try to post some more tonight.. it seems to be a moderate upgrade for photoshop.. alot of little things are better : create your own keyboard shortcuts.. when you change inches on width.. it changes on height as well.. etc
later..rf

Freehand is the shit and nothing beats it.
First work with it before you judge it, I mean work with it don't just fiddle in it and you'll see the light.
Illustrator is a buggy piece of pile horse shit

Adobe said a while back that their number one priority on these versions was:
Speed.
Yes, I'm serious.
