Ok, i bought a pie last night from a well known grocery chain. My girl cut a piece and was ready to eat it when she noticed a "Bumble Bee, or wasp" baked inside it! It made her so disgusted, she actually threw up!!
What do all of you suggest we do? Of course we have to bring this to the managers attention, it was baked in house, and the Main HQ has to be notified.
What should we get out of this? It is just a disgusting thought! What else could be in the food they make there? They need proper quality control!! I dont think i would ever buy groceries from there again!: 0
thanks for your input.......

Do nothing. It's a pie, bugs like the smell. They could hire a bug watcher for the pies, but then the pie would cost you $20.
I say deal with it life goes on. If you plan on complaining to managment or worse getting a lawyer then you must be American.
Life goes on.

Quality control man! Thats what its all about!
What else gets baked into the other food there?
No..it will not get to pond scum lawyers!

your grandmother has probably baked a bug in a pie before. you shouldnt get anything out of it except maybe another pie.

I think you should sue the queen of the bee-hive.

Did it taste of honey?

"What should we get out of this?"
thats was the first thing you thought wasn't it? "Who can I blame, how much do I get?"
Get a grip loser, its people like you that are the reason we have 'this steaming coffee is hot' and 'this door is closed' signs all over the place, f*cking nanny state.

Was it a Bee Pie?

Loser.. Hmm.. Very Interesting. I dont think you know me well enough to be calling me names.
Lets look at this one important issue. Cleanliness in the Food Service Industry. This is the top priority in the food service industry. And if it isnt for some places, it damn well better should be, or they will be shut down when the proper individuals find out. I hold all companies highly responsible for little mishaps like this that are caught. What would happen if an individual happened to bite into this pie that had a Bee allergy? Or even worse, what would happen if you were to eat a piece of bread that has rodent crap baked in it? Would you brush it off and eat the rest? Dont think so! We have to ensure the top quality is coming out of the facilities that produce food for us!
I am not even thinking about a law suit here. I am thinking how i can ensure that processes will change at such facilities to ensure that nobody will get sick!As for Grandmas pies, i know that she makes sure no critters enter the mixture! unless she happens to be making Bee pie..but she washes them, and takes their stingers out first!

This reminds me of when bob and doug mckenzie put the mouse in the bottle of elsinore beer. They walked into the liquor store and said "we found a mouse in a bottle of your beer and that means we get free beer, eh.
just kidding doggy.

Good one mrdob...
Not trying to get pie for life here!
well....that would be nice if i did of course!

i have to agree with rasko, what's the big deal? I'm sure you have better things to do than fight over a wasp. Just don't go there anymore.
The only thing that's gonna happen is that you get a new pie. End of story. And if you still want to fight this, you have to prove the wasp was there when you bought it, which you can't.

we demand evidence...
show us the pie/bee combo...

Go to the place you bought it from, ask for the quality control manager. and then kindly say,
"your security sucks as bad as your quality control" Then smash the pie into his face.
(make sure the stinger is pointed out of the pie and hope for the best)

"I dont think i would ever buy groceries from there again!"
that would be the solution for me.

I have taken pics, and will post the links to them later today/ tomorrow.. The bee was baked in between the crust and the
And zoiks..dont want to go that far...
It is a big deal...what other things are in the other pies and the other baked goods, and other foods?
- mrdobolina0
thing is, that could happen anywhere. Have you ever had a fly or bee in your house? How did it get there? Accidentally.
- doggy0
Still have to notify them of their mishaps! Before things get way out of control, and someone really does get sick! and people really do start eating Bee pies, and rodent ruhbarb!

Sure things do happen in our own homes, we are not food professionals, we are designers. We do the best we can, and know how to.
Accidents like this should not happen at restaurants or markets! It is their job to ensure this does not happen!
