You mean to tell me that when changing the color of a word within a paragraph (dynamic text) it wont export that color? wtf? How is everyone getting around this in order to place a link within a sentence in flash that the user can identify?

Let me try again.
I type a paragraph in flash using dynamic text.
The paragraph is all blue text.
I want one word in this paragraph to be red.
When I export and preview I do not see it as red instead I see it as blue like the rest of the words.
wtf?

make the textbox HTML
its all about experimentation

you don't actually need to do that, you can just use normal type and then make certain areas of it an object. PLay with it

JazX can you be slightly more specific. The original date on this thread was early Saturday. I have been trying for 2 days. No luck. Help?

try harder

isn't it easier just to make it an HTML text box?
that way you dont have to touch AS if you dont want to

must format links and colors with html... not dynamic textfields in flash... load in an external file.

If you don't want to make it html, you could use the text as a mask and the layer that gets masked is a blue square and a red square under the word you want red.
That's a much dumber way of doing it, but Flash is a bitch that requires many weapons to battle.
