didn't mean to put you offside with the new school comment.
skating in the eighties for me was all about variflex, g&s, alva, bones brigade, santa cruz, vision street wear, and later H street and SMA etc etc. To me when the nineties hit - boards got skinny and wheels got small, plan-b stereo etc was new school. that early nineties period ushered in the new era for sure. thats what made skating the behemoth it is now, and why so many of those revolutionary skaters are bitter and jaded with the scene today, the truth is they inadvertantly caused much of it.
didn't mean to offend, just giving you my point of view, yknow?

a couple of items I have for sale, may be of interest bid high heheh!!

yeah its funny, the difference between starting skating when I did and starting only one or two years later, quite a few friends of mine look back at the plan-b years and see that as the roots whereas for me its wide boards and ten inch trucks. theres really only 2 years between completely different points of view.

just chiming in here, i started skating a looong time ago. first deck was Tommy guerrero with the flaming sword.
This post brings back alot of good memories.
I've since traded in my deck for a snowboard. I stilll skate every now and then though to get around.
Is it true that Jason Lee is trying to put back together Stereo? I'd like to hear more about this... I remember Blind Video days with that little shitstain of a skater Guy Mariano skating to the Jackson 5. He was damn good. I'd like to see Hensly come back with his 540 one foot tail grabs.ahh, the memories...
