... went to see last night in LA at the Hollywood Athletic Club ... and I must say, most dissapointing ... guess if one really tried they could appreciate some part of the brutal loudness, some part of the obscure tones, but in general, it was most uninspiring ... sawry.
oh, and i'm well aware of his fuck everyone attitude ... pretty lame.

Funny because I saw him in 03 and it blew my mind. Super low-fi with a very intense strobe pointed at the audience and him on a laptop with a bunch of wires and hand made contraptions. Will never forget it.
Really not into his LED helmet thing he's doing these days...

This was a fucking great show, I've seen him twice before in NYC and as one of my favorites he can never do wrong in my eyes. A quote I read detailed him saying “I’ve started thinking about pure electronic music again. Something very melodic, very aggressive” and that was evident with his new material - as always he was melodic, abstract, thumping, glitchy, bassy, and pounding. I do have to say that it gets a bit "whatever" just looking at a dude standing behind a laptop. I came across another site where a guy to the left of the stage (I was on the right) posted that he was eating during the set. Couldv'e just been playing a cd but it was rad.
I met him backstage years ago (an exgirlfriend knew the opening act Kenny Muhammad the Human Orchestra) and when it was time to meet Jenkinson after hanging out I had to piss SO BADLY that I only had time to shake his hand and ask him where the bathroom was. By the time I returned from an epic beer drinking piss that seemed to take a half hour he was gone and the opening act dude was trying to get my gf's number - not how I pictured the whole thing turning out at all.

^ That's cool, I'm looking forward to hearing his new stuff.
I liked his last album, but it got a negative reaction from a lot of people.
Now where is the new Aphex Twin album??
- no shit - enough of this stuff, http://en.wikipedia.…whatthefunk
- The latest rumor is that this is him:
http://boomkat.com/v…ukit2 - no way that's him, not enough depth, texture, or dimensions - seems homagewhatthefunk
