i like the new print ads. a little kid running down the street in some town in jamaica. think if the little fella sell the shoes he could afford a hot meal a day for the next 4 years. but he don´t want to! he love his new pumas!
so..he get killed by a rude bwoy next street corner. ehm where is the link between a fashion brand and a 3rd world country? puma just love the world and its people. right?

puma are doing the same as kfc are doing branding themselves along side things like northern soul, you know that kind of all nighter grainy film etc...
all a bit contrived if you ask me..

I hate it when good sports brands branch out into shit high street fashion...

this new breed puma shit is for the same people you're likely to see on pop idol wearing those silly visor style 'sunglasses' that aren't even tinted and seem to be an inside joke of the fashin industry to make all the high street clones look like cunts.. and its working!
but you're right, its only a pair of trainers.

did anyone see those spoof puma ads with the BJ scene? I have them at home, they are class!

untinted sunglasses. haha. all the rage in sydney. the strongest sun on the planet. Its like selling sand to an arab, and its working! brilliant

WELLIES!
the whole gamut....the chaffing, the smell, wellies with shorts.wellies with trousers tucked in..trousers over the wellies....wellies with tracksuit bottoms....wellies in bed, man when the 'burd' gets the wellies on, mind these ain't wellies as such, more sort of pvc boots, but that's another story. NAYWAY, wellies, you can even decorate them! draw a puma swoosh on them if you want ya crazeeee retrosexuals!!

if you like them, wear them. but you'll soon reach the age where comfort comes before fashion. tea anyone?
- sexypixel0
All these designers who work on brands and marketing bitching about a success full marketing campaign.. oh the irony. job stress relief maybe, who knows.
- sexypixel0
would have worked without the giz stain. but you gotta love it. Puma still deny anything to do with it. yeah right

So no-one wants to discuss the secret to their new found success then.
Anyone want to ad something intelligent, or has this site truely gone down the gutter.

its all about cloning and the way that 95% of people on the high street want to be the same, what we should be discussing is growing homogenisation in the fashion industry and the apathy (or lack of imagination) of the average consumer.
You wouldn't get away with this lameness in Japan.

do you not think its lack of variety? Arent we told what to wear more or less. "This years summer fashions" are already planned out for us even though its still the middle of winter. (aus) I went looking for a pair of jeans at the weekend and a guy tried to sell me a pair with rips in them for $380 aud. I laughed and he told me its the 'fashion' he then produced and untorn pair but these had brown stains ( i kid you not) on the pockets and knees that looked like someone was playing with the wrong end of a cow. I ended up leaving the shop and am still in my ragedy old levis. Maybe if iwear them till holes come in them I'll save a few bob.
Lack of variety me thinks.

thats exactly what I was saying, but its the apathy and the fact that people seem happy to look like everybody else that lets brands get away with producing less items and still maintain good sales.

this discussion is going on since the invention of fashion.
- sexypixel0
true. supply meets demand i guess. So thats why something new and different gets beaten to a pulp and rebadged until it becomes 'so last week'
I cant keep up

so who decided Puma was going to be the next big thing, again.
