You don't want to go to that region, not because it's bad, just because it's difficult to move around down there, it's not as easy to get around for a tourist because it's off the grid system that most of the rest of NYC uses. Blame the Dutch for that one and the English for setting up the rest of it as a grid, hee hee ;)

Tyrone, I used to live in Astoria and then on 2nd and 82nd (UWS) for a while. There was a nice Sushi place right near there off of 2nd, really nice drinks.

go "el sombrero" resturant in the lower east side. Stanton st. and Ludlow st. At the bar get a large Margarita to go. You can walk around the neighborhood drinking this extremely inebriating beverage and wont get any hassel. You must do this.

I cannot remember, I'm working in DC-Metro and moved to Pittsburgh for a while. Lost my job in NY and there was no way in hell I could have afforded that rent in Upper West Side. Needed a break from it anyway. Might go back next year. I think it was called 'something, something Moon'.

Hey Tyrone, haven't graduated from Pratt yet--just beginning to attend in the fall. Spent three years at Boston College studying studio art though--so at least I'll be a 21 year old sophomore or something. :)

Haha. Yeah, it's a good school and all, absolutely beautiful too. Buildings and people. Loved some of my profs to death, but it really wasn't my social scene in the fucking slightest--and on top of that, they didn't offer my major. :)
