haa haa lil romeo. 50 cent is a manufactured robot that they have made sound good in a studio. don't make me laugh man.
- skonge0
50 cent is the worst. why does everyone like him?
- unfittoprint0
50 cent?
I would rather listen to Vanilla Ice or MC Hammer. Like I always do.
- kpl0
it's the attitude.
I'd go on but there's already been threads about it and it's not like you guys are interested in hearing why.
- kpl0

I enjoy pornographies and beastialities.
- skonge0
Atitude? He tries to come off as a bad ass, but I don't see it. I'd rather listen to Wu Tang or someone who has a creative way of expessing attitude.
wankster. a 5 year old could come up with that.

jaz- not sure what your saying. are you drunk?
hip hop is not as easy as learning how to use samples and beatboxes.
this mentality sucks- just like 'design aint hard, just need to click a few buttons on the computer'
sure it is easy to pump out a nice beat and catchy LOOP (its almost like childplay these days with software)- though too construct a song and keep the listener digging the track after x listens takes skill & a musical ear.
- JazX0
Yeah exactly and that's the point, 99% of what is out there is rubbish and 1% is good. However, with that being said Hip-Hop is as easy as learning how to use samples and beatboxes. Go ask any Hip-Hop producer out there. That's a joke. Musical ear, lol, actual musical talent in Hip-Hop is like saying fish are talented at swimming in sand in the desert. Read up on how long it takes these cats to produce their albums. ;)
- JazX0
Half the Hip-Hop songs out today sound like MIDI synth with no effects, which makes me believe they were thrown together quite quickly, if you know what I mean. ;)
- quamb0
i agree, though im talking good hip hop here- not mtv or your local mc battle.
even for the mediocre stuff, you still need some skill.
finding those perfect samples alone can take a long time.
though as i said- to jump on a computer, 'stealing' samples and what not, then writing a hip-hop track isn't that hard. its the good stuff that is.
obvious being the likes of shadow, cinematic orchestra, prefuse etc etc. these guys are mega-talented and are throwing their heart and souls into the MUSIC not just learning how to sample or make catchy loops.
song construction is an artform in itself.
and just as in ANY genre of music, 90% of the stuff out there getting radio play is crap.
you sounding like an old grandpa saying hip-hop aint actual music jaz...
- JazX0
You can say what you want, but Hip-Hop isn't really accepted as actual music. It's creative and great outlet, but it's not me putting it in this category.
It's never what most people think anyway, studio wise, white engineers are generally the ones that get the full thick sounding Hip-Hop songs to come out well, not street thugs.
Those guys are so freakin' doctored. Ever hear a live performance of Hip-Hop? Man it's pretty bad I'll tell you that, unless they are mixing in R&B singers in the background that might actually have some true singing talent. Don't care what group it is.
Very few people are doing stuff that's actually going to test time. ;)
- JazX0
with all that crap being said, I still like Hip-Hop and Trip-Hop, virtually the same concept. ;)
