wow. i can't believe that shit. made the kid cough up 12k of his personal savings only to turn around and be like, "well, that'll do."
i can imagine those fuckers walking away snickering as they counted the money. fuckers.
jevad, i am using your banner on my site. you rock. very nice dude.
btw- i never buy. only download. when RIAA makes those whack ass musicians put together full albums worthy of my 20+ dollars then i will contribute. until then i'll keep sharing the 46GB of music i have collected.

word.
altho today i had this crazy idea...well, several ideas.
1 = every artist should have a paypal account, if ya dig the music, send the brother/sista some cash. and download just that what you need/like.
2 = I am SERIOUSLY thinking of selling some old commercial (big record company) cd's via Ebay, i don't like 'em anymore anyway, and I might send the profits to this latest victim of the RIAA-Nazi's.
Hope someone would buy my shit tho.....jes' thoughts anyway.
- dgtl_rchtct0
4cY, that is a dope idea. Paypal is great and I would definitely make that move to buy the music especially if the music was dope.
more importantly it would be nice if the artst got off their lazy asses and did tours in the not so hyped areas of cities. like local joints around some of the towns. then they could reall make some money. like prefuse73 hit up echo lounge in east atlanta a few weeks ago. good show. more artists should do that. they will have a more real and true dedicated following.
instead of generic concerts where all they do is get on stage fuck around for about 30-45minutes and leave. fuckers. RIAA should talk to those assholes about that.
*i'm pissed if you can't tell*

jesus i just read the article, thats a fucken joke. Maybe the RIAA should now go and sue microsoft for making software where you can browse open networks, and maybe sue them for making it possible to make such software.
And the police should go a sue the people who work in the mines for making the metal that they use to make guns that the robbers use to rob banks.
*faints with the madness of it all

The best day of this year was when the RIAA was on the receiving end of a 2 day DoS attack.
Long live the fighters.

The Offspring wanted to offer their last record as a download from their official web site but the label got their panties in a bunch over it and (surprise) got all legal on the band.
Lars Ulrich said that shutting down Napster was about controlling the music, but look what happens when the artist actually wants to do something different... The whole system is completely fucked up and if it weren't for all of the polititians in the RIAA's pocket I really couldn't see them getting away with what they do.
It's sickening how well this cartel has done for themselves.

here's my thoughts. We have some of the finer visual marketing heads of the world within our reach. we are they.
So why not begin a marketing campaign against buying from the record companies? To support artists without supporting the coporations?
banners, posters, flyers, sites, whatever it would take to get the message across that the corporations and the laws they are supporting are killing the fabric of the most universal artform we have.
anyone?

somebody rich should buy some advertising in the mainstream media, thats the only way to reach joe consumer - and make him see the evilness of the RIAA
- enobrev0
Joe consumer will listen to you if you give him a less expensive, yet still easy means of getting what he wants.
If joe consumer can buy the same albums for less from an artist, without much hassle, then the incentive is inherent.
Everybody wants to get rid of the gusy in the monkey suits, but nobody wants to get rid of them.

Nice one enobrev, i'm down for a constructive act.
- schjetne0
I'm working on something. I just need to find the list of record companies represented by the RIAA.
- schjetne0
Nevermind, I just noticed jevad is working on something similar.
I was thinking more along the lines of "supporttheartist" rather than "fucktheriaa" but I guess one is as good as the other.
- jevad0
schjetne - the more the merrier...
it's probably gonna be more like
riaanoway.com - or something less in your face.....
but if you wanna be a part - please jump on!
