unkle consists mainly of james lavelle only..he's the only "permament" member/founder..for the first LP, i think if memory serves he collaborated with dj shadow..then next LP, collaborated with some other dude...so UNKLE doesnt really exist..thats pretty much like Gorrilaz...o well, hope my info is coherent.. correct me if wrong..

well recently got this 3disc promotional mix.
its packe in a kaki green sleeve with a drawing of futura2000 in pink on it.but its just mixes.still... veryyyyy good.

resurecting this thread cause i just downloaded the james lavelle unkle mix that was played on the bbc 1 essential mix a while back. 2 hours of unbelievable beats to be had. Mixes up some jems old and new. go download it now

no, Unkle is officially DJ shadow and James Lavelle. It doenst just consist of James being the main member. Psyence fiction album featured many artist including tom yorke etc etc. They gonna be releasing a new album soon prolly next mth.

U.N.K.L.E is James Lavelle's identity since the record out from Mo'Wax (it had a man from UNKLE logo on it).

never actually WANTED a tatoo but i've always said if i found something i WANTEd i'd get it.
Was thinking about these guys on my shoulder.One of my mates found a tatoo place that get their own needles custom made so the needle is like a hairline line rather than a thick black line.
from a distance you cant really see the tatoo if its an outline.I got the Futura2000 book from amazon a few weeks ago - a worthwhile buy.
The guy thats compiled the book of all his work is the guy who's done all the mowax covers etc.
some nice stuff in there.I'm not a huge fan of lavelle.

Totally agree. I've always kinda wanted a tattoo myself but I've never seen anything I liked enough until the futura guys. I was thinkin of getting one of the point men on the inside of my bicep on my left arm. And yep - got the book myself a few weeks ago. I've been a huge fan for quite a while. I'm intrigued to here the new UNKLE stuff tho. Eye for an eye sounds amazing with the shynola video but I agree Shadow did add that sparkle which I hope isn't gonna be missing. hmm... we'll see.
