mmmm yes. the word 'bong' *B_O_N_G* b_o_n_g*b-0-n-G* seems to be the exact opposite in the audio spectrum of the rip fizzle sound of ripping a bowl.

I often smoke bongs.

its nice to know that there's at least two of us on opposite sides of the globe wasting our employers time by sitting at our desks repeatedly saying B-O-N-G in various chords.

yes bongbongbong
maybe the crapmans are gnobs.
audacity is funny it's true but the danger is you become so cynical that you can't go back to meaning anything.

nothing has meaning

yea. i guess you could always look back to the meaning of "bong".
i have a tendency to be sarcastic, but is that why i am cynical?
perhaps the bong can help me understand.
i dont have a bong though.

i'll get my coat too.

i think everything there was to say was already said...
on the other hand i find it more amusing when it's the pop culture that questions established valuse (as opossed to artists who are kind of expected to do that). I was repulsed seeing, shit was was the title of this movie...? "Fredy got fingered" (or something like that). Until i realised that my repulsion relied on old-fashioned values and rules. Then i was kind of intrigued that it was the Hollywood who brought about that revelation...
...In that sense the work is not weak becasues of "its wekness" but because Hollywood was doing it for quite some time already...

I just wanted to give an example of two great works.
One makes a statement...
The other keeps integrity...
Why destroy, just to destroy?
In a quote from Jake, on the creation of one of their pieces...
"It took us three years to make 5,000 people. It took the Germans three hours to kill 15,000 Russian prisoners of war."
Yes. That is true. It is much more of a task to create, than to destroy. And the results will prove worth.
Goya created a body of work that was too bold to be shown for three decades after its creation.
The Chapmans 'created' something that only provides immediate gratification. It will be irrelevant in one decade.

I stand corrected, and retract my previous comment.

shit was meant to be fucked with
try putting up a poster anonymously around town with just an image on it, and people are bound to fuck with it
i like the concept & aesthetic, but the pricetag is the silly part...i'd rather steal the art from the gallery, fuck with it, and leave it somewhere else for the next person to manipulate
it's almost as if theyre laughing to themselves and saying 'i cant believe people are actually buying this shit!'
