Hi brothers
I'm relocating to montreal or ottawa (from west coast) and want to know average salaries for senior (web) designers and art directors w/ more than 5 years of experience.
If you don't want to write here plz send it by mail. Just need some references especially in Ottawa.
Some help with cost of renting a trully decent 2 br apt would be very helpful.
Thx in advance!!

Expect a cold shitty winter here in Ottawa that will bring you down to the ground if you've never experienced one (if you are from the Left Coast you will find it bitter!). As far as rent here - a nice 2 bdrm in a decent area (Sandy Hill, Glebe, Old Ottawa South, Centretown, Elgin St) will run you approx $1200. Cheaper to live over the river in Hull (2 bdrm approx $800), but Hull is not quite as pretty as Ottawa. As for design jobs in Ottawa: with your experience try McMillan, or Venture. Email me for more info...

Safe, clean, etc.oh and dont forget: no beaches, cold weather, the CFL, alot of maple trees, and bad beer.

bad beer?? you mean not watered down yankee beer??
plus how could you forget hockey!
- exador0
actually...
if you take the time to look on a map, and know a thing or two about geography, you'll find that there's a load of canadian cities that are more 'southern' than US cities...latitude
Longitudelook into it.
oh, and bad beer?
I'm pretty sure it's understood around the world that we make some of the best beer there is..
c'mon up and try some!

Craig,
i'd much rather you do your dirty laundry through this forum rather than send me hate mail to my work. Thnx

--did you change that?

- monNom0

im just curious of what i said that ticked him off. just b/c i dont like canadien beer and i said there are no beaches there, doesnt mean i encourage terrorism and death.
