As a matter of fact ...my boss was a bully.
I think she was jealous because I knew how to do my work and I am a quick learner.
Now her old a** is retired ...Yipee!!

I always go for confrontation and so far it has only gotten me fired. If you can manage it without going mad, apathy is actually better for keeping your job, if you want to keep working with the bully, that is.
I wrote a letter to the MD about the bullying culture at work and a week later got made redundant, but they said it had *nothing* to do with the letter. hmm.

if the bully is tenacious, and invokes his/her illwill on victims as a routine, apathy can sometimes only prolong the matter and cause a serious build up of stress... no one gets paid enough to put up with that... not me at least. eventually you just snap and which usually worsen the situation.
confrontation can also lead to worst case scenarios, but hey, you'll feel good about yourself because you'll know you did the right thing and didn't back down or simply play games with them. i have zero tolerance for games.

My best friend's little brother was getting bullied by neighbours and their mum enacted the best revenge: she threw a fish into their gutter, then filled a water pistol up with bleach and sprayed their washing line! In the Australian sun it was all pretty lethal... Got a water pistol handy?
