I am looking for examples of design that are aimed at grabbing the attention of 20 to 30-ish year old customers.
Nothing too out there. Fairly conservative and clean design is best.
Anything will do. But identity design is preferred.
thanks,

Well. based on certain books that I have been reading lately on the topic of marketing, I have come to a vague conclusion.
That when it comes to online work getting attention is not so important as keeping it.
if you look at it this way, the whole concept of getting someones attention is related more to television and print advertising where attention is at a premium.
Online, I think the values are a bit different. People go to a site to become informed and find what they are looking for.
Good design comes into play here boviously, but should serve the sites goal, rather than trying to capture the attention of an audience. Let the content speak for itself in other words.
More to the point, I feel that people in this age group(which happens to be me) value strong content and clean design...basically what will I get out of this experience, rather than going to the site for sheer entertainment. Remember that people in this age category value communication and information generally, and I think you will be OK.
I would suggest designing a few strong features, and letting the form follow these functions.

thanks guys. this is not for online.
to clear up a bit:
this is an identity i am creating for the restaurant industry for a particular product they are launching. it is geared toward a younger (20-30) crowd. the client is fairly conservative in its graphic standards.the examples I was looking for were anything that had the same approach in mind when designed. doesn't necessarily have to be food industry related. in fact, i have been researching clothing lines geared toward that demographic so far.
anyone have any in mind?
thanks,

Fuck being conservative - do something fun - you only live once!

i would love to. experience with this client tells me, don't waste your time.

in that case...
my apologies for assuming too much, but some elements of my original discussion still might be valuable.
I would honestly say don't worry too much about the demographic, I think audiences are getting more media-savvy, and things that are "targetted" to a certain demographic can come off as cheesy(Take Skechers...)
I can speak as a member of this hot and horny demographic and say that we look for things that are original or well thought out. Hard work and research come through in a case like this.
Be conservative, but focus on quality, on developing a unified feel/theme and i think you will see a payoff.
You probably already know this, so I am speaking generally, for discussion purposes mainly.

I would suggest going to the newsstand and checking out some magazines, that is often what I do when at a loss...at least it provides a starting point.
From there you can harvest URLs and get a feel for some "minimal" identities that work well as containers for messages and products.
We will probably have to start a new thread about which magazines to check, but off the top of my head:
URB
Tokion
Elemental
Nylon
Mass Appeal
etc.You will find more like this in the newsstand(dont know where u live, so I am mentioning what LA stores have in general).
They can be a good styleguide, to at least give you a view of the zeitgeist as it stands this month, but I think that the enduring brands are the ones with a more minimal approach that allows them to assimilate transient fashions/styles as necessary.

i think them mags are not for genenral 20 - 30
they tend to be for ppl with design sense and most ppl are not..think about 20 - 30 movies
*gasp* biker boys, fast and furious, others..for print.. hmm look at ads that are aimed for it... Nike is good minialistic photographic based examples... it can range from Maxim to Cosmo...
i could be wrong....
