here's something to think about tho..in all of history, Iraq has NEVER attacked the us.
ever.
so far, it looks as though we're going for round 2 of the us attacking them...
...
who's the aggresor?there's no bad guy over there thats threatening you..as far as 'countries' go, that can't be handled in another way..
don't even bring up 911..
if you wanna go after someone..send special ops to go kill those responsible...
....and last time i checked its been quite awhile since anyone was looking to hard...
a year or more ago, bin laden was the ultimate evil...

The answer might be the same reason why the US attacked Libya in the 80's. It's about establishing who's the biggest dog. The middleast is the most turbulent region on this whole planet. This summer there was a much down played nuclear showdown in Kashmir. The last thing that needs to happen in the middleeast is for another government or dictatorship to arm itself.

OK. gotta clear up some things here.
Alaska doesn't have enough oil, nor the right kind of oil to do squat with.
And within the last year it's also been realized that the Caspian sea, once thought to be the next big oil find is actually about 15% the size previously estimated. This is why we are no longer too worried about Afghanistan and are considering abandoning the pipeline we resumed building. (resumed once the taliban was ousted)
So now we turn to Iraq. For their 11% of the earths supply of oil.
No proof of WMD's yet the USA will use WMD's to take them out. (as someone stated previously)
And to clarify about the Nukes we plan to use. They will be smaller nukes used to take out military compounds and bunkers, not entire cities. However I find this to be an autrocity and an awful double standard presented by this evil Bush regime.
I think it is sad when people refer to war as this 'thing that improves the economy' or 'something that brings us all together' or 'what the bad guys need'.
It is simple people die horrific deaths. Meanwhile you watch the scensord version of all this on CNN. And proudly proclaim from your lazy-boy "Those evil bastards deserved it because they knew we would kick their ass if they messed with us!"
Sad indeed.

Anyway, getting our hands on their oil is strategic, not because we're running out. It means power... and yeah, small scale atrocities are easier for the people and the political analysts to ignore. ie bombing wedding parties and the like.

the kashmir thing in a nutshell:
history:
big chunk of land and people split by colonial minded folks.
india with the majority of Hindu folks...
and pakistan with the majority of muslim
all really the same folks more or less, mostly just devided by religion/language etc.however...
the area known as kashmir goes to india.
kashmir is mostly muslim
pakistan sees that, and thinks, hey...they should be part of us...
india says...
back off muthafucka...it's ours...kashmir, by all rights, would most likely enjoy being it's own nation state, and not really belong to either...
but thats not likely to happen...
so pakistan and india fight over it..
all 3 lose.

World War 3 will begin as soon as an arab nation invades Israel. That muc has been prophesized enough for me to believe it.

I know this isn't going to go over well, but let's give it a try.
Sadaam - Kills and gases his own people. Sadaam wants everyone to perish who doesn't bow to him.
Bush - Wants oil. Wants his people alive. Doesn't want nuclear war but will bring it if brought upon us.
Does anyone else see the difference here.
Believe me.... I count my blessings everday that I am free and I am an American but if you think for one fucking minute that Sadaam is going to take that away because of his own personal and political agenda you gotta be fucking crazy.
