well said toolius.
well said indeed.it's difficult to really explain somethings to folks that are attracted (or atleast not repelled) by the thought of a war)
especially if you're canadian.ive seen it here about a zillion times..
a canuck like me might say this or that about a war being a pretty crap idea, and that the states might want to re-think some of its foreign policy, and
whammo
suddenly there's a dozen posts about Canadians being weak neighbors,
or not 'getting it'
or us being communist or something..luckily not from most of you though..
most of the americans i've met on this site like Bio, trans, etc. have been uber cool..
but you know the type i'm talking about...anyhow..
war is a bad bad bad option..
its a zero sum game, with now real winner...and the one-upsmanship idea of 'you bring a knife, i'll bring a gun'?
yikes.
so far..theres only one side bringing anything...
there are no real reasons to be attacking iraq except oil...and the notion that regardless of what nation is on top of the sand, whats below it belongs to the US.
funny...
North Korea has weapons of mass destruction...
but i don't see anyone going over there with weapons inspectors...
kinda blows the whole..
"we're doing this for the world..it's not about oil " lie out of the water
