I didn't read any of the posts, but long hair is more about hippies than punks. The Clash were one of the greatest bands of all time but they didn't have long hair at all. Strummer had a mohawk at times in those days. So, don't knock those guys.
The look that iritates me more is the all black every day for every reason propogated but the Borg, I mean Banana Republic, Club Monaco, Gap, etc. Those conformist drones are the real sickening people as far as I'm concerned.
