There are a few factors here. I use Flash all the time and even though I've never been on a PC, I hate that Macs run Flash about 40% slower. Another thing, I don't think the price ranges quoted in the beginning of this thread were accurate. $3000 is only average for a Mac, if it's a G4 tower. $3000 for a PC would really be a killer machine.
I wish I had more to contribute, but I don't use PCs, so I can't judge them very well.
