TicketMasters "Dynamic Pricing"!
Jane's Addiction and Love & Rockets just announced a show in my town. I got a "presale" password to buy today before the general public on Friday but all the tickets are $150 to $230 plus service fees!
I've seen both band multiple times in the past and I don't think all my ticket stubs add up to 1 ticket price today.- yeah fuck those guysYakuZoku
- wow that's fucked upPonyBoy
- Yep. Punch them in the dick.
On the plus side, I just saw that show.lemmy_k - @lemmy Was it worth it? I saw JA twice with the original lineup the 2 more times without. I'm glad they scaled back the show without yoko and her dancers.fooler
- JK, kind of. I missed Love & Rockets last year when they were doing club dates dammit. My GF was out of town and she knows Daniel Ash.fooler
- I saw Love and Rockets in 1989 along with The Pixies and The Cure. I think Love and Rockets may have been the loudest band I ever heard.CyBrainX
- I usually go to Stubhub and get much cheaper tickets than Ticketmaster. I usually can't get a thing from Ticketmaster for under $500.CyBrainX
- @CyBrainX funny I saw The Pixies open for Love & Rockets in 1988 and thought the Pixies were the loudest band I ever saw, until I started seeing Dinosaur Jr.fooler
- Fooler, the sound for L&R was off and so were they. They cut down some of the songs in length. JA was AWESOME. Perry was drunk.lemmy_k
- Clearly, none of you had ever seen Motorhead. I never wore ear plugs for L&R in the dozen times I've seen them.lemmy_k
- Dynamic pricing as a whole. If you shop anywhere owned by Kroger, they shift prices during peak times.garbage
- I only saw Motorhead on the Young Ones and visited his statue at the Rainbow Room once.fooler
- concert ticket prices are getting ridiculousHAL9001
- I think Ticketmaster and Co are all about to get fucked in the arse for controlling the gig market. Artists get shafted, punters get shafted. It's bullshitIanbolton
- Shit, this was months ago. Maybe nothing will happen. https://www.theguard…Ianbolton
- My top 3 in order of loudness

Bossanova Tour
1: Motorhead,
Ace of Spades tourGardener - I can't afford to see big bands now but glad I did when prices were reasonable. It cost me £6 to get in to Glastonbury Festival in the 80's.Gardener
- ^ now you're showing your age Gardener ;-)Ianbolton
- Ah I'm proud to be 62, I could teach these young whippersnappers a thing or two.Gardener
- You're gonna hate me Gardy, but Motorhead just had one song that they played a million different ways. Also the whole hovering dong mic was hilarious.garbage
