random thought. why does the os sometiimes require password over fingerprint? what layer of security does that [not] provide? anyone can type in the password. only i can unlock it with my finger.
- but but some rando ne'er-do-well might have cut your finger off and kept it in a jarhans_glib
- iOS does this too. It’s a sort of two factor thing, and I’m not really convinced it’s good. Seems to kick in when there’s a bad attempt or after a long time.monospaced
- Like, if my kids are playing with my phone, and they log a series of failed face unlocks, I inevitably have to use a password.monospaced

- not sure, maybe your phone can't be pointing downwards for just those scenarios?_niko
