ELON MUSK THINKS THE MAIN CHARACTER IN "BLADE RUNNER" WAS NAMED "BLADERUNNER"

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has long claimed to be obsessed with science fiction. From reusable rockets to dreams of making humanity live on Mars, the mercurial CEO has made the genre his entire business model, for better or for worse.

But when it comes to his knowledge of some of the more seminal pieces of science fiction, the cracks — or panel gaps, if you will — quickly start to show.

In a recent tweet, Musk promised that his EV maker's upcoming Cybertruck will be an "armored personnel carrier from the future — what Bladerunner would have driven."

Unfortunately for him, there never was a character named "Bladerunner" — or "Blade Runner," for that matter — in the iconic franchise of that name.

    • eh, stick an 'a' in front of BR and he's all set. We can find plenty of real issues with his posts. This isn't one of them.formed
    • sure... but it still makes no sense without the -a- or without an -s- at the end.... just know your popculture reference if u are so proud when u use them...neverscared

    • Well, and also Spinners could.. you know.. fly. I do love that he still posits it as an APC when he broke the window when displaying it.garbage
    • Well. Deckard was "a blade runner". I guess you could refer to him as such. I'd say maybe "the blade runner".jagara
    • Decker could go to Tyrell and say "I'm not driving this piece of shit" and still pass his baseline.garbage
    • One that agrees has failed his VK driving test and would be immediately disabled.garbage
    • Blade Runner was a designated rank/role and Deckard is one of many, so my beef would be that there isn't a singular "Bladerunner".evilpeacock
