@Akagiyama talks about this in the Punches Thread, but no one seems to answer the question: is using ad blockers banned when watching youtube now? They can ban you and remove your channel???

I've been using UblockOrigin for years and years. Never had a problem, never been warned. Haven't seen an ad in years.

    • They've been showing ads on almost all videos now, regardless of your account settings.stoplying
    • Ublock works on FF, yes. But surely not for long.jagara
    • I don't think it bans you per-se, but blocks you from watching with an ad-blocker on. I hope Ublock figures out a workaround soon.Akagiyama
    • I use Brave. On the anti-ad blocker I click ok to disable it and refresh. So far this works. I don't know how to disable the ad-blocker so hoping it continues.skinny_puppy
    • I've already gotten Ublock bans for FF on desk and mobile. And they are definitely working on it. I had a weird one last night where it disabled all video..garbage
    • ..where everything played, but it was just a black screen.garbage
    • Apparently, there is an ad-skipper extension. Instead of blocking ads, it auto-skips: https://chrome.googl…jagara
    • Lol, just pay for it. Your kids won't have to watch ads either saving their little brains and you'll get 4k on your big telly. better value than most streamers.slappy
    • Fuck that. One of the largest corporations in the world wants to squeeze the orange a little more? Youtube has been a money leak since they acquired it.garbage
