    ^ the coding thing raises an interesting challenge. If chatGPT is trained on stuff available from the internet, it's going to have more exposure to javascript, PHP, etc. Likely it's not as proficient with a less well known language or a brand new language.

    If everyone starts using chatGPT to generate their code because it is so much more efficient, what are the chances that a new programming language (that GPT doesn't know), can emerge and compete in the post GPT world?

    I'm sure that dynamic isn't exclusive to programming languages either. Maybe we are on the verge of ossifying all language based on the year 2019.

    • yeah it stops at sept 2021. So any updates to code things or new ways of doing it, forget it...shapesalad
    • And this is going to be the downside to AI, the data it trains on is time limited, and to do real-time data updating on it's learningshapesalad
    • would likely allow you start asking it to do porn stuff because it's soaking up info before it can be pruned/filtered.shapesalad
