My wife is over in Vermont at the moment (she works there). She just went to buy groceries and when she got to the checkout they let her know that each paper bag costs money (pocket change - $0.10 / each - plastic bags were banned Jan 1, 2020 in Vermont)... she's in such a mood that she busted out in laughter and dropped a big "what the fuck... are you serious?!" on the poor kid working the checkout followed by something like "...thanks - I'll just drive over the river where they have bags..." and left all the groceries sitting there.

*snort... tonight's going to be a 'fun' dinner...

    • grabbed a handful of bags for only 2 small products. When the cashier rang up the bags she looked confused, she was from another country.palimpsest
    • When she finally realized she had to pay for the bags she put them back and only got one.
      Money talks.
