Listening to 90s rock/grunge/pop bands... so pure. just talent and a recording studio.
2022s it's a laptop, and auto tuned weird sounding voice that almost sounds like traditional arabic singing, along with disjointed beats and a sense of danger, like you're going to be immediately knifed.
There's no day dreaming element to it, it's all in your face. You can get lost in 90s music more, perhaps it's a comment on our attention span, how internet and iPhone has eroded those boring sunday afternoons where you were pretty isolated in your teenage bedroom, with only a CD to occupy your thoughts.
