My supermarket has an older male security guard who stands at the door in a uniform.
The door is on the side so everyone who leaves the registers has to walk towards directly towards him to go out.
It feels awkward every time I leave because I either have to pretend to look at my receipt or give him acknowledgment and he'll say "goodbye".
Must be so boring to just stand there for hours. He can't do anything but stand and watch people come and go.
- every time you pass, say goodbye in a different language.shapesalad
- What's worse, he likely can't do anything even if he sees a crime. Too much liability. Guards are essentially paid witnesses.monNom
