I tried to eat a bag of vinegar chips and spat them out as soon as the first chip hit my lips. They had a strong and foul ammonia like smell like nothing I ever encountered.
I thought it was a bad batch or something and instructed the family not to eat the rest, but at dinner that evening, I had salad with vinegar dressing and it was the exact same thing! Just a vile stench.
Apparently a rare side effect of covid is parosmia where certain common things suddenly smell terrible.

- Yeah alarming for sure. The other thing I noticed is caffein makes me nauseous and dizzy almost punch-drunk but I’m hoping it’s not a side effect_niko

- I got this after a bad flu once. Coca cola tastes like vile chemicals ever since. It must have killed off some sense organs of a certain "frequency band".monNom
- was thinking the same thing, these vile chemicals are there but the pleasant ones mask them, covid reveals them for what they are like in "They Live" lol_niko
- Oh that's a tough one. The good news is parosmia tends to be temporary. Not having salt and vinegar chips is a big loss.garbage
