I hit 46 years old this year and figured it's a good time to finally talk to a psychotherapist. I'm going to get assessed for a bunch of different disorders that collectively make up Autism Spectrum Disorder. It kicks off tomorrow and I'm pretty fucking anxious about it.

Anyway, I'm about half a bag of wine in now and can't sleep.

    • Cheers. I've suspected I've had some combined Aspergers/ADHD type symptoms for years, and have had several long-term relationships shit the bed.5timuli
    • I work for a large tech corp that favors extroversion and social "visibility", so it's tough to exist in that space when you're a misanthropic, cynical cunt.5timuli
    • Sounds like a bad case of Being British. It's not treatable, I'm sorry to report.

    • Nairn, funny you should mention that... it's what I put it down to for years when I came over here. And I think I have some ADHD issues as well.5timuli
    • I tend to swing from hyper-focused to not giving a fuck and lacking any focus at all for days on end.5timuli
    • Hey 5timmers - sorry (a bit :) for previous comment, wasn't meaning to make too light-hearted a response, as I really do appreciate where you're coming from.Nairn
