    Finally worked out some of the grease pencil drawing stuff a bit better, using the mouse to navigate and the tablet to draw it was a lot easier to doodle on the sphere.
    Still had to render it in C4D as I find it hard to navigate Blender.

    • You can set up blender specific mapping in Wacom control panel. I have pan rotate zoom set up around shift/ctrl keys and one of my rocker switches.monNom
    • Works great for sculpting. I'm sure you could figure out something similar with grease pencil.monNom
