Regarding grafician's post about late 80's Batman...
I was so stoked for this movie.
My mother took myself and a few friends to the opening night showing. I remember all the hoopla.
Also, my father was already supporting my graphic impulses. I taped and glued together a huge bat logo using cardboard, folded it in half for symmetry, then cut it with a utility knife.
He would take me around different places to let me paint the outline of the logo. Literally supporting and funding preteen vandalism by letting me do low level street art graffiti.
Still not the best Batman, though.
