American Boomers just can't let go of anything. They dictate so much of culture. Like, for example, everyone kind of wants a president who's older than them. Doesn't feel great to have a guy 20 years younger than you running things. Makes you feel like your time has passed.

That's why these candidates are so old. Hopefully in 4 to 8 years from now, enough of the boomers will have finally been laid to rest and we can move on with America.

I guess if Trump gets elected again, a ton more of them will die faster due to his lack of leadership skills. Sad.

    • It's funny, I was thinking about something similar this morning, about why don't people want to elect a younger, dynamic person with fresh ideas.Continuity
    • The previous president was like 47 when electedbulletfactory
    • it's not boomers, it's the rest of government. Kennedy was elected at 43, dead at 46. they need someone in position with similar interests.imbecile
    • would this still be something to complain about if Bernie was up for election, or does experience matter in that case?imbecile
    • Strictly speaking, I think even Bernie might've been a bit uncomfortable with his age. I would have been, if only because I wouldn't have wanted him ...Continuity

    • Yes Bernie is equally an old fart

    • The previous president was an obvious outlier. However, the DNC needs to wake up and realize that people are ready for a fresh face. Just not 8 at a time.

    • Anyway the point is more that Boomers have been shaping culture since they were old enough to have jobs. We’ll be better off with a distributed demographic

    • As for Obama, it’s difficult to separate his skin color from the man. But boomers are STILL talking about how we was the antichrist. How we should investigate!

    • ...despite him being a relatively normal president. Is that all just racism? Maybe, but I suspect it’s some ageism, too.
