Oof, I don't think I can finish Death Stranding. I'm pretty close to half way through, but I'm basically done playing. I knew it was gonna be more RPG'ish, and not another Metal Gear. Which , is fine, I like RPG's.
But, man, this game is just boring. And some parts are just annoying (like when you're getting near a full load and have to balance). Plus, the very few moments of combat feel half baked, and your boy is clumsy.
It started out pretty good, and the story definitely sucked me in. But, I've got half the network connected and it's just going nowhere. Wish I would have waited for this to be half off.
- The storytelling is good but the gameplay is tediousscarabin
- I wanted to like this game but it's just too much of a grind. I lost interest about 15/20 hours in.thumb_screws
- stick to the main missions and avoid the cruft, I parked it for a bit and finish it some time later in rush modeernexbcn
- use an online guide if you need, check the eurogamer one I think it sticks to the main missionsernexbcn
- Tip (and something I've never heard anyone mention online) Use both shoulder buttons always when walking to balance. I only tripped twice in ~80hrs of gameplaySteveJobs
- And honestly, the game really picks up through the story later on around the time deadman's character develops (imo).SteveJobs
- just about finished...jaylarson
- It was definitely a grind, but I think it was worth it, and I found it a nice break from the standard fare. Took on new meaning in quarantine.ben_
- I hear people ignore the story and just keep building roadsdrgs
- There's only so much highway you can build. I did the first section and about 80% of the second and then i just concentrated on the story missions.SteveJobs
