Regarding my last post: I think the immediate number of downvotes would suggest that's true

    • 3 downvotes in 5 mins for a deliberately shit question citing mystery evidence doesn't seem too OTT.Fax_Benson
    • (It was 5) Why is it a shit question? This is the Politics thread and i have a suspicion that intolerance in politics is now part of a 'left' agenda rather....Morning_star
    • ...than the tradition suggesting the 'right' is more intolerant.Morning_star
    • baseless accusations deserve downvoting. using opposition instead of facts as evidence of truth is deathboy crazy.imbecile
    • i hope that helps you feel better about your stupidity. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯imbecile
    • I'm sure that's true to an extent but how would anyone know which is moreso? How do you quantify it? What's this evidence? What's the point?Fax_Benson
    • I was a question followed by an opinion and if you haven't the intelligence to construct an answer that addresses the question then could you refrain from ...Morning_star

    • I wouldn’t assume it’s a matter of tolerance at all, but instead a matter of agreement.monospaced
    • We can start to actually talk about politics and tolerance if you want though. And you might be surprised at the results.monospaced
    • The left is far more tolerant of various cultures, religions and personal choices.monospaced
    • Amongst other things, the left are intent on defining, focussing and silohing groups based on our differences rather than uniting us around a common struggle.Morning_star
    • This leads to intolerant factionalisation of BLM or LGBT movements for example.Morning_star
    • so, when the "left" tries to get the same rights (marriage, adoption) to same sex couples, it's intolerance?dmay
    • how about this Morning_Star, to soothe your sensitive feelings..? your supposition is [still] baseless. My opinion is that you are stupid. I hope that helps.imbecile
    • @imbecile. "my sensitive feelings' whatever you think brother. I'd rather discuss the idea. If you haven't the knowledge to engage, no problem.Morning_star
    • @dmay. Of course not, the 70s, 80s, 90s union of feminist, gay rights, labour unions, social justice etc activism is NOT what the left stands for now.Morning_star
    • It’s a cult. Cults are not tolerant.Gnash
    • The situations I pointed are happening right now, not in the 70s, 80s, 90sdmay
    • The genesis of their (feminism, gay rights etc) political origins started in the 70s, 80s, & 90s and whilst there is still a fair distance to go in achieving...Morning_star

    • I think it's a legitimate criticism of some parts of the left. However it's a stretch to call the right tolerant when you consider all these authoritarian, yuekit
    • anti-immigrant politicians they are voting into office. Not exactly the first word that comes to mind when you think about people like Trump or Bolsonaro whoyuekit
    • send troops after protesters and are constantly demanding bans and censorship.yuekit
    • I'm sure you can find extreme people on the left but that is in fact who the right voted for in the two biggest democracies in the western world.yuekit
