    I can't fucking sleep.

I bought a grappling hook a few weeks ago, and now I wish I didn't. Bear with me here, and feel free to skip. It will get sappy.

So when I was a younger and more qualified scoundrel, I used to do a lot of urban exploring. Two of my closest friends at the time were always down for whatever weird adventure I could come up with. Lots of fence hopping, running from cops and crackheads. Once a junkie tried to rob us and found himself on the receiving end of a roman candle. That probably paints an accurate picture.

It was very "let's break into so and so and set up a camera, cool. Let's climb this wall and see what's on the other side, I'm not sure if the rusty stairs on the silo will hold, cool." They were always down for whatever, they were like little brothers.

Brother 1 hung himself in 2010, and I just heard that Brother 2 overdosed this week. I had distanced myself from Brother 2 years ago because he was getting in with the wrong crowd and I didn't want a piece of it. But I've also been crying for two days over a person I haven't seen in six years.

I can't sleep. Fuck's sake, tell people you love that you love them while they still have ears.

    • sounds a lot like what me and my friends got up too... our best discovery was a warehouse where part of the basement was submerged underwater! it like Goonies..necromation
    • come true. we would make all kinds of bonkers things and steal our dads gardens tools... Those where the best summers, and i can totally feel why it hurts buddynecromation
    • My condolences. My bff got killed in a head-on some months ago. I cried for a week, I was only able to deal by going to the funeral. It helped me get passed it.robotron3k

    • Opinions matter less than life, but unfortunately the two go hand in hand.garbage
    • @Bennn I appreciate it. I've never really stopped exploring, but I've convinced some friends to start a tree climbing club.garbage
    • @Nairn same. I'm not even sure why I posted this because it's just a bummer, but I was half in the bag last night.garbage
    • No need to question why - i appreciated your taking the time to post. it's what makes this weird little enclave our little enclave.

    • Sorry dude. Maybe you need to try a new, refreshed version of urban exploring to help deal with this.stoplying
